Happy Anniversary! Chivs86 Poetry.

A bit sad I know, but I'm writing this post today to wish myself a happy 1st Anniversary for my work on www.hubpages.com under the allias Chivs86 Poetry.  An outlet that people reading this might most likely know about if they follow me on Facebook, or Twitter, G+, or certainly through the site I mentioned above.

Anyway - about my 1st year on Hubpages.com.  I opened my account because it was my intention to publish my Poetry online.  I had for perhaps - a month, or so been writing poetry assignments on Helium.com, but I was fed up with how restricted the site was to self promotion.  So after doing a bit of Googleing - and being nerved away at that point by Blogger.  I opened an account with hubpages.

A website that I still use today, and despite the fact that I still can't figure out how to link my account to adsense (?) I have now published over 50 hubs with the site.  Some actually quite memorable, with some of my favourites being:

• A Star Child Lost.
• Man Eaters Will...
• Pubs of Old Baldock
• 8 Miles Down the Road from Tavistock
• My Name's Justin, and I'm an Alcoholic
• The Tower of Babel
• Baldock's Mysterious Garden.

About the site though.  It can be a means of income for some people.  The high earners being mostly the writers of articles, and help guides, but also for people like myself it's a great way to get your work read, with a very nice community of people.  My favorite aspect being some of the fan mail I've received.  So yes whether you're a content writer, poet, cook with recipes, or whatever i'd definately recommend it.

As for my inspiration over the past year (I'm probably rambling on a bit now) - it's came from documentaries on TV, Books about nature, unexplained mysteries, stuff I've read on the web, places i've been, and things I've seen.  Not to mention some of the assignment I've been given on Helium.

And the future of Chivs86 Poetry?  Well actually - I'm pretty put off writing any new projects for a while.  The plan is to put my efforts into editing my previous work, and putting lyrics to rap beats - something I've been doing for longer.  So perhaps I might post as Chivs86 Music, but it will probablly be on here.
