I first heard of XV maybe a year ago. I downloaded his track 'Smallville' prod. by J.Cole because i liked the name of the song. It laid reference to one of my favourite TV shows for a start, and I thought - i'll download it, stick it on my MP3 player or whatever, and from there... at random one day the song just come on whilst i was walking down the road, i heard it, and i thought "this song is brilliant, what is it?". So from there i got the beat to make my own version of it, I got the track it sampled 'To Forgive' by the Smashing Pumpkins, and I downloaded the Mixtape 'Zero Heroes'. Which I actually quite liked, and since then the Kansas rapper, despite releasing a constant wave of new material, i've been checking on frequently. Somebody who i've enjoyed listening to, even though he hasn't released a follow up body of work till now (which by the way is the reason for this post).
