Xzibit - Napalm Traclist

Something I had to post about, and actually a quite noticeable absentee from my other website Chivs86-Release-Dates, but heck - it hasn't been something that Pimp My Ride Star Xzibit has spoke about much so quite understandable.  Great news though, it is looking that X to the Z has finished his new album, 'Napalm', and has even gone as far as posting up a tracklist on his twitter.  A first for the rapper indeed, but OMG some of the features/ production don't half make you think - "WHEN IS THIS ALBUM COMING OUT".

A possible September release according to My Source, but carrying on here is the tracklist.

  1. State Of Hip-Hop Vs. Xzibit (Prod. By Beat Butcher)
2. Everything (Prod. By Rick Rock)
3. Dos Equise Ft. RBX
4. Something More Ft. Prodigy
5. Gangsta Gangsta (Prod. By DJ Chill)
6. Forever A G Ft. Wiz Khalifa (Prod. By E. Dan)
7. 1983 Ft. Trena Joiner (Xzibit’s Mom) (Prod. By Insane Wayne)
8. Stand Tall Ft. Slim Da Mobster (Prod. By S1)
9. Spread It Out (Prod. By 21)
10. Up Out The Way Ft. E-40 (Prod. By Rick Rock)
11. Napalm (Prod. By 1500 Or Nothin’) (Drums By Travis Barker; Scratches By Sid (Of Slipknot))
12. Meaning Of Life Ft. Ret. Staff Sargent Shilo Harris (U.S. Army)
13. Louis XIII Ft. King T & Tha Alkaholiks (Prod. By Dr. Dre)
14. Enjoy The Night Ft. David Banner, Wiz Khalifa & Brevi (Prod. By David Banner)
15. Movie Ft. Crooked I, Slim Da Mobster & Game (Prod. By Akon)
16. I Came To Kill (Prod. By !llmind)
17. Killer’s Remorse Ft. Bishop Lamont, B-Real & Demrick (Prod. By Focus)
18. 1983 String Acapella

So I mean looking above Wow - Dr Dre, Crooked I, the DJ from Slipknot, Beat Butcha, King T, Alkaholiks, Bishop Lamont, B-Real, Young D, E40, RBX, & his Mum (Amongst Others).  Looking 4wd to this one people.  Hoping 4 something like Restless or Man Vs. Machine, but let's wait and see shall we.

Stay tuned for updates:

Treacherous Records Presents: The Mint Room (Stream & D/L)

Was going to write a review on this, but with quite a big back-log as it is - I decided against the idea.  Although it does look like a dope album, and I would like to, but there's one real reason I'm not reviewing this.  One thing I found out, that made me change my mind about putting my opinion across, and that is that I don't see the point in writing about something which has came out as a free download.  Which was a complete surprise to me actually, I thought this was retail, and i'll write reviews about retail albums all day long, but I mean what's the point of reviewing something that you can legally download for free.  The way i see it is people read reviews to decide whether to buy something or not, and with a free d/l you don't have to worry about paying for it, but I will admit though I think this should have definitely been a retail release.  I mean just look at the tracklist.

There's like one track on there with people I ain't heard of, but for free - who can complain.  Check it out Below.  Download or Buy via DJ Booth.net

Aesop Rock - Skelethon (Album Stream).

The first new album in five years apparently from Aesop Rock, and what better a way to celebrate then upping the free album stream.  Which I will post below, but before you listen - there's just one thing - I've wrote a review, CHECK IT OUT HERE courtesy of my new blog Chivs86 Album Reviews.

Back on his grizzily on this one, and it seems like only yesterday that Curren$y hit us with his latest offering Stoned Immaculate.  An album you would have thought that would have kept the fans tied over, and if it wasn't enough that as well as this the rapper has already this year released another album,  Muscle car Chronicles, and 2 EPS Here! & The 1st28 w/ Styles P, he's back with his 5th release of 2012 the Cigarette Boats EP W/ producer Harry Fraud.

Check it out below.

Cassidy - Mayhem Music (Apply Pressure 3 Mixtape) {Stream & Download}

Right - so not the usual sort of Riff Raff I like to post about.  A rapper who has had an odd career, and who if you read about you will notice that he is lucky.  To not only still be here (alive, and un-vegetated), but also free (not in jail).  So that being the reason of the post really - during my usual browsing session I came across his new mixtape Apply Pressure 3, and I thought 'wow I didn't even think this guy was still about'.  Someone you'd expect to be messed up, but fair play to him I kind of think - If he's making music he might as well release it right? and good looking on the 50 Cent feature also, if that ain't a good enough reason to check this out - I don't know what is. Check it out in the box below.

Rick Ross - God Forgives, I Don't Tracklist

Anybody Surprised?  You would be if you read my Maybach Music Group - Self Made Vol.2 Review, because I mean in it I basically say that I think Wale, Stalley & Meek Mill are cool, but Rick Ross - Don't like him. So the chance of me checking this release out - I don't know, but it has one feature (well actually 2/3 - if you count Jay-Z & 3 Stacks) that i'm i'm actually interested to hear.  So I might do a review, and if I don't like it i'll make one of those rap diss things, but in the meantime here is the tracklist to God Forgives, I Don't... Out July 31st.

02. Pirates
03. 3 Kings (feat. Dr. Dre & Jay-Z)

Joey Bada$$ - 1999 (Mixtape)

A little late this one.  A mixtape which came out I'm led to believe last month.  A mixtape which actually I've only just heard of, but what I am hearing is a lot of good things about it.  So I mean naturally I'm posting it because I believe some people might like it.  I mean I've just read the review on Hip Hop DX, and actually I'm thinking this might just be one of those game changers.  One of those mixtapes/ albums that are better than most the new releases you'll hear.  Something I think because of the high user ratings, and the production with tracks produced by the likes of J Dilla, MF Doom, Statik Selektah & Lewis Parker.

Check it out Right Here:

Method Man - All Hip Hop Interview - July 2012

Relatively quiet since 2011's 'Wu Massacre', alongside Ghostface Killah & Raekwon, and 2009's Blackout 2 with frequent collaborator Redman, Wu-Tang Clan emcee Method Man has been out of the spotlight for a while.  Fortunately though for us, and according to Meth's latest interview with www.allhiphop.com, this may no longer be the case with 2 upcoming albums planned.

Albums including the previously talked about Crystal Meth, and the follow up to Redman Collaboration Blackout 2 - Blackout 3.  Two releases that I would imagine will come next year, but if that wasn't cool enough - also discussed is the rumored Wu-Tang Biopic, and the Sequel to How High, How High 2.

Check out the interview video below.

50 Cent - 5 (Murder by Numbers) Free Album.

Initially supposed to be the game changer that would go out for retail release with absolutely no promotion at all.  The 5th album of the rappers tenure at Interscope, and his final album with the label meaning that from now on he would have been free.  Free like this album because it appears that 50 has backed down to the war machine that is interscope, and he will now be releasing retail album No.5 Street King Immortal which is expected in November.

Anyway check out 5 (Murder by Numbers) Here.  D/L & Stream under Tracklist.

(Oh & it doesn't say this on the cover, but 04. Business Mind Feat. Hayes & 10. Can I Talk to You feat. Schoolboy Q)

Yelawolf - Heart Of Dixie (EP/ Mixtape)

One of my favourite rappers i'd say perhaps, for his quick, witty, sharp tongued, and hill billy voice.  Yelawolf is back with his latest release, the not so radio-active 'Heart of Dixie'.  A 10 track release that has clearly stated on the front cover & under the tracklist that it is No F***ing Mixtape.  An EP/ or Free album then Whatever!  Check it out Below.

Oh & before I forget - I read yesterday that the Big KRIT/ Yelawolf collabo project might be coming out as a mixtape hosted by DJ Skee.  Keep your eyes out for future news right here at www.chivs86.blogspot.com

Childish Gambino - Royalty (Mixtape Download + Stream)

In a week where personally I've been awaiting for several releases, I must say that maybe this one right here is possibly the one to check out.  From somebody I only heard of just this April - when he performed at coachella - the rapper who I now know, as Donald Glover or more prominently as Childish Gambino follows up from his album 'Camp ' released just last year, and a new found hype that has been growing around him ever since with the release of his new mixtape 'Royalty'.  Listen & D/L below.
